Finn, Rey, and Kylo hanging out like buds. Really loved the movie, and that’s coming from a Trek fan. To me the original 3 were kinda boring (never watched the … other 3 fully so I don’t want to judge, but wow were they bad). I always loved the designs present in all the Star Wars movies though. Looking forward to seeing how Kylo develops.

This past weekend I shared a table with a fellow friend and artist at the Locust Moon Comics Festival ! It was a lot of fun and I’m going to try to go again next year. Small cons like this, geared towards small press/indie comics, is what I’m going to focus on from here on out. The people that turn out to these things are genuinely into comics and appreciate the craft more so than the typical “Big Two” readership. The one day spent in Philly was a blast from the get go because our bus driver got lost, and to add to his frustration, there was a marathon taking place so he had to keep making detours. Next year I might spend the weekend, eat some cheese steaks…

Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game. Wind Waker comes second. Link to the Past felt like I was really on an adventure. You were given room to go exploring and rewarded for being brave and experimenting . Sure there were some hand holding parts, especially in the beginning of the game, but it was just enough. It sure as hell didn’t feel like Skyward Sword. The only reason I place Wind Waker second is due to the side missions. A lot of them felt like I was doing them just because. Granted some of them led to necessary/useful items, but it felt tacked on. They didn’t really feel like a part of the game. Felt like I was on some mundane real life task. This is actually the MAIN reason I hate Skyward Sword. That entire game felt like a task. Such a shame though, as some dungeons and ideas were wasted on that game. The time manipulation areas were brilliant. Maybe sooner or later I’ll go into detail about my love for Zelda and …. frustration with the recent entries.
